Been fighting my zero throttle response for a long time now. All signs lead me to a bad map or intake leak. After new map and new up pipes nothing changed. Sprayed soapy water everywhere. Gallons I bet with no leaks. Just about to give up and sprayed everything from top to bottom one last time and there it was. Turbo housing bubbling a lot after I put air to it. Ordered up a oring for a few bucks and just like new again. Also it just turned over 300000...

 

I used RTV on mine when i rebuilt it. But never even thought about that being a leak point! Good info

 

just curious - where on the turbo housing was it leaking exactly? where the compressor housing mates to the center section? or elsewhere?

 

Yes.. the large oring that mates the turbo housing. I also used rtv with the oring..
