What is the measurement of the vinyl section on the seat back, from the welt at the top edge to where it meets the ladder pattern section?

My interior code is D81 Light Beige Crush Vinyl & Medium Beige Ladder Pattern Woven Plastic.

Is that this pattern(different colors then pics of course):



or this pattern with the solid color in the middle



Is one of these the "Cody" pattern? If so which one?

 

From what we've seen (we're not experts though) the sectioned inserts were '66 only, and not all '66s had that.

Seat bottom covered with SMS material. If you order this from SMS be aware that it is 56" wide instead of 60" so your boxing will have to be made taller. This was NOT mentioned when we ordered from them. The insert material is also pre-cut to length and is not long enough to wrap down the front like the factory cover did. That also was not mentioned. We ordered X amount of yards at 60" wide and they sent smaller pre-cut material since that's all they had. We made it work but it's not 100% correct.

That is beautiful...just what I want for my 66, except with the beige colors.

Can you tell me how much of each material you ordered from SMS?

 

I believe I ordered 2 yards of the pattern material and 1 1/2 yards of the solid pattern and now have some left which was better than running out. Plus I asked my guy how much to get first.

 

Has anybody used the upholstery that is pre made and you just (sounds too easy) slip it over the original seat frame and spring after removing the old upholstery, comes with hog rings and pliers? The ones I've seen run around 200 bucks and up and are supposed to be original.
Are they any good?
