E4OD tranny wont shift outa 1st
hey all my 93 f250 7.5l 2wd is getting a tranny put in by me. im a diesel tech, ive had tons of these trucks but never had one no move from 1st gear. I went to hook up the shifter linkage and to my surprise the shift control on the side of the tranny wont budge and according to the dash its 1st gear. I have a feeing maybe something in broken inside but I figured id ask other Ford friends. thanks people!

she's frigging awesome! i love the thing.im still waiting on the local shop to set up the lift gate and auto crane for me so i haven't gotten to use it as much as id like yet.the long wheelbase makes the old gal ride like a dream and the towing gears keeps it right in the peak hp band and she pulls strong with power to spare.....while in OD.pretty dang cool.

yes.i think she'll need the one outrigger on the side underneath it.i don't want to have to worry about tweaking the bed since it's a dump too and the cab n chassis have such narrow frames that when i have the crane bolted way over and back on the pass side i think she'd be way to unstable without an outrigger and would put too much pressure on the rear dump hinge.least when lifting big logs.
