Belated Happy Birthday, Micah. Mmm. Elk backstrap. Haven't had that in quite a while. Porterhouse steaks and brisket sounds good, too. Decisions, decisions.

Hi everyone. Getting close to the new semester start date. I bought my textbooks and supplies for this semester today. Two weeks to go. Where did the summer go?

Good morning everyone. Pat, Salena, my oldest, started her next session a few weeks ago. She's attending Grand Canyon University online. My semester starts up 8/25/2014 and Jennifer, my youngest, goes back to Eastern Oregon University near the end of September. It's going to get "interesting" around here in a couple of weeks.

Also, I'll be posting a "proper" advertisement, but thought I'd share it here, too:

WTB: '97 Ford Parking Brake Pedal Assembly
I'm interested in locating this soon-to-be-obsolete assembly for my truck, see signature for details. Shop is attempting to locate the part to provide a repair estimate. I just dropped ~$450 in additional brake system repairs that lead to finding this problem.

Had another issue with my left-rear brake. Shop determined the parking brake pedal assembly is not releasing properly; only ratcheting tight to take up slack. Brand new brake shoes that my friend and I replaced cracked due to this condition.

Good morning Idaho, happy Friday! Craig, that sucks about the brakes! Hopefully you can find a pedal assembly for it quick.

Good morning everyone.

Pat, it is still available from the dealer ($290 - uh, no way) and a friend of mine found a '96 F-250 (same pedal assembly) in a new JY near his home in Twin Falls, ID, so that's a possibility. I haven't checked my local JYs, yet. I now the years and models that I need to look for, so I'm hopeful that I can obtain one in good working order. I'll probably buy new cables though. I'm not going to take a chance on JY cables.

Morning Craig. I'd do the same, get the pedal out of the yard, and spring for the new cables. Should be a lot of those trucks around, I would think.

Good morning everyone. I'm waiting for the "gang" to show up so we can repair a fellow veteran's drywall damage. He has neurological issues, fell getting out of bed, and left a 2' x 3' depression in his wall. We're going to correct that today.
