1978 f250 Power Stroke Conversion

Doing a conversion on my 1978 f250 CC 4X4, switching to a 7.3 PS drivetrain.
2 big questions:
1. anyone on here done this already? if so, please point me in their direction (link to build, etc.)
2. I saved everything off of the donor truck I felt was needed, including the steering column (its a 1997 f250). Is there a company that will make a new wiring harness to plug into all necessary spots, or do I write off my summer and track down every wire I saved in the donor's harnesses?

Thank you.

I think someone else swapped the body from the old truck to the powerstroke frame, not sure if it was easier to do it that way as opposed to swapping the engine over

I saw that many times over. I went the glutton for punishment route and am swapping the drivetrain into the original frame and body. My saving grace; The body has a 4 inch lift which made fitment much easier.

I was hoping I wasn't the only one who has done this. I know there is a company in Oregon who did it, but they shared little information.

Is there a build thread on here? If so, I will start one and post all my progress.

I haven't seen one, doesn't mean there isn't a thread on here. Either way a new one would be welcome!

quite a few people have done it, the all different body styles. there is a 78, a 69, a89, and a 56 or so big truck that i know of with powerstrokes in them.
