1974 F-600 brake woes-HELP?
Hello guys!
Just discovered this forum and was wondering if I could get some advice here. I have a 1974 F-600 that has some issues with the brakes. The brakes seem to be bleeding from the master cylinder into the booster (both have been rebuilt). The brake pedal will feel fine and then just disappears as the booster fills up.
Any ideas as to why this is happening or how to fix it? At this point, I don't trust the brakes at all.
Thanks for any help!

Well, from what little I know of medium-duty trucks looking over fenders years ago, I figured it's probably not like a brake system setup on cars and light trucks.
Yup!
Take a look at this thread, read it all the way through:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...n-exhaust.html
Looks like some useful info in there, particularly from user fmc400! He's still around according to his user stats. You could contact him if you need more info.
If the rebuilt M/C and booster were a recent purchase, and were rebuilt by XX XXXXXXX, then I would not be surprised if they leaked brake fluid everywhere. I will not buy anything at all that they rebuilt. Burned too many times by the trash they "rebuilt".
