Snap-On MT2500

Does anyone know if a Snap-On MT2500 will read a 1990 F-Super Duty? I am finding out that my current ODB1 reader will not work with a F450 or anything over a 8500GVWR. I fit does not work, and my engine light is also not working, can you offer any other solutions? I am not sure how to check the truck with a multi-meter?

Update...Snap On MT2500 does work on medium duty trucks. I found a loose connection on the fuse panel and now the truck runs great. Afterwards I was able to put the MT2500 on the truck and it scanned out perfect. Hot damn!
