48 6v to 12v conversion

HELP! I am trying to read and read and read and read all of these threads and not one has clearly laid out what to obtain and how to convert my 1948 F-1 from a 6v system to a 12v system. I would like to know what all I need to accomplish this task and where to get all of the parts. LMC Truck has a bunch of stuff but apparently not everything needed for this . Please help. Thanks!
