Alternator swap time.

Looking at doing the 6.0 alt. Found too many options from NAPA (and others). Any reason the top alternator for duals won't fit? It is the only 140a I find, could use the 130 version, but curious if there is any real difference. Any particular year better than?
Napa, found rebuilt '05 140a for 239, two different new for 170,185, but 130a.
Also trying to find in stock, light came on over weekend, so need to fix today.
Thanks.

You have to turn the case is all. For that price I'd order DC power one. But I know you want it fixed today. I believe there 185 is 270.oo ..

298 + 25 shipping, for the 6.0l. Not too bad. I settled for a 130a, 179 after core charge is taken care of. In stock at most NAPA's. Usual issue deciding on ease of replacement almost anywhere in the country vs mail order, etc.. I wasn't sure if the dual setup changed the top mounting, I am guessing not. The one I bought was for top/dual, and only issue was clock difference and had to grind the bracket a little, or use washers. Pretty simple upgrade.
I just never realized all the choices available.

DC power is great, I had one of their 185a OEM series units until i got an oasis air compressor(180a draw by itself) it lasted over 100k miles.

i'm looking at getting a DC power alternator as well. I plan on getting a compressor in the future and the 185 amp should do the job nice.
