Hmm. That's about what I tow as well. I have dual pumps, which typically run a little warmer, but still cooler then you guys.

Darin, are you hearing your fan engaging? Mine pretty much stays engaged on grades.

Honestly, I don't know. I've mentioned I don't hear real well, and my eyes and mind are on a lot of gauges when running a good hill. Maybe it is, maybe not, I honestly can't tell you for sure. It's probably at least time to test the clutch.

Thanks again Joey.

I can hear my 6.0 fan engaging and my oil temps are 220 to 230*. Maybe I should put my aux oil cooler back on? I just didn't like the 15 psi increase in oil pressure!

In short, saving you the involved story, those oil temps are normal and good, especially for what you are towing. I seriously doubt that is the issue.

I ran a adapter on my oil filter head, relocated the oil filter and off that a cooler with fan. All the plumbing caused an increase in oil pressure. I'm on my phone now and can't post pictures, at least I don't know how too.

I ordered 5 custom tunes from PHP for my hydra today. Modified stock, 1100 high idle, 25 extremely heavy tow, 100 performance and 140 extreme. 2-4 weeks to get them. Probably won't have them by labor day weekend, but I'll get by.

Ok, another test today. I ran in the 100 tune today. This is still with my old chip. Nice 70 degree day, not windy, oil temps running at 180. Good towing day for once.

I was pulling the first big hill at 40psi boost, 1250* at 70mph. The IPR dc climbed to 87% by the top of the hill, and I was losing boost/power/speed, down to 30psi. Had some bucking at the top of the hill, I assume from running the res dry. I haven't put my new resevoir add on from riffraff yet. Temps climbed a hair, but not much. Same thing on the other big hill. Figured I'd push it and see and hit 90% this time. NO CEL either time. Talked with Travis a little and he told me to get ahold of Joey again. I'm gonna email him, but wanted to put this up since he posted in here too. I'll give him another link just in case.

A couple pics of my scan gauge on those hills. Hard to see real good. Not real easy to hold that phone still while paying attention to my driving! You can see the ipr dc%, but not the icp very well. I thought it was showing only about 26-2700, but maybe it was a little more.

I can't tell from the pictures but is your icp pressure dropping as your dc% is raising? It must be from what your saying. Win some races!!

Honestly Glenn, I'm not 100% sure. I think somewhat, but I was just amazed at how high the dc% was raising and didn't pay real close attention. I was kinda stuck between the dc%, making sure the egt's were ok yet, and watching the road.

Redlighted in the semi's today. That's racing. Happens.

Bummer! Oh well, there will be another day. The old mare has sat for a month but today it has a 830 mile trip to handle, LOL!

You been in Michigan still Glenn?

Darrin..that sure doesn't make sence.
I wish I was of any assistance on this.
I am curious if the resivour spacer will make any difference.

Aaron, the spacer should eliminate the bucking I had, but I think that's all it will do.

Hope your trip goes well today Glenn!

I doubt you'll see any difference at all with the spacer. I hope it helps you, but its not usually necessary unless your running twin pumps..
