bed liner how far should i go?

I have some rust under my doors and along my bed and alot of rock chips from my tires. I want to bed liner this isntead of paint it but im not sure if i should stop at the trim or go up further to that body line. Im thinking going up to the body line so it will off more protection and cover up the damage from a accident from the previous owner. Also i am looking for a back bumper if anyone has one in michigan and a red tail gate. thanks.

here are some pics please post some pics if you have bedliner the lower part of your truck and give me suggestions of how i should do it!

damage to cover. the body line i think i should go to is at the third bolt on the fender flare. yes i know i need a new box so i can get the large dent out under the tail light but this is kind of a temporary fix to make it look better until i can afford a box.

should i go up to the body line to cover the damage in the rear? or should i stop it at that trim piece?

rust under the door that it will help cover

I'd pull off the flairs, do all the body work and have the truck re-shot, then LineX from the body line down. Reinstall flairs.
