Glovebox Key

Hey all!! Just a quick question! The 88 is getting ready to head to the body shop to get all finished up!! My question is the glove box key.. what style of Ford key do I need? Is it an H50 or H51? I think it's a simple 5 cut key? I want Ford originals.. so want to make sure I'm getting the right ones! Thanks!

I don't know the exact style number, but it should be the same as the key that opens the doors.

hmm.. my door keys are too long to go in the glove box.. same way with my 94. I remember my Mom's 89 had a large key for the doors/ignition, and a smaller key with a round top that locked the glove box. Any other ideas? I can't find anything online..

Thanks!

I just tried with my 1990 model, and I must have confused it with my 1987 Mustang. The Mustang uses the ignition key for only the ignition, and the other key for everything else; doors, trunk, and glove box. The Aerostar uses the ignition key to open the doors as well. The other key, with the round head, locks the glove box and the drawer under the passenger seat. So if you try to put the door key (square head) into the slots for the glove box or drawer, it will not insert all the way in. Sorry for the confusion.
