parts query - horn related

Ok, I broke the piece in the steering column that contains the horn contact brush. In looking at the parts manual, I think it is part of 13341. I am hoping my jb weld approach will work, but if not I am trying to find the part to fix it correctly.
I am thinking this is the part:
https://autokrafters.com/p-8126-turn...-f-series.aspx
but from the picture I can't be for sure.
It was a stupid maneuver. I had put a small screw in it hoping it would serve as the necessary contact for my aftermarket horn. When I tried to remove it to put in my new horn brush contact I managed to brake that component away from the rest of the assembly.
At autokrafters they have an import version for half the price.

You will have to tie in or change out the entire wiring harness going through the steering column, which is a pain. You can buy it here ALOT cheaper:

Just make sure its correct for your model. I would call them to make sure you get the right part for your truck.

found a better image. It appears that it is the entire assembly needed. Bummer.
Ebay has a NOS part:

Go with DC link above, unless you just want to go NOS.

Serial number specific

Dennis Carpenter's ebay site has one for the same price but specifies it works with vehicles starting with serial number: FROM SERIAL #G30,001 with a part number of D0TZ-13341-B. That means this part works with mine but not the first 30K units produced for model year 1969, I believe.

Yep. Order it per your serial number. The trick to installing it is to use the old wires to pull new wires down through the steering column. After you take the old switch's screws out, pivot it to the side a bit. Clip the wires off the old switch. Now connect the new wires to the old wires via something thin like electrical tape. The hole the wires goes through is pretty small. Now go below the dash and gently pull on the old wires. They will bring the new ones down with them.

Thank you very much for that advice. I would have likely pulled the old one out and then scratched my head figuring out how to get the new ones in.
Serial number issue was only applicable to the 69 models.

beep-beep

Came home this evening to my horn sounding like an anti-theft alarm. have not touched the truck in two days. I could understand a steady blast but not the evenly spaced intermittent one.
I am sure moms neighborhood appreciated it. At least it was in a closed garage.

1965 72 Ford F100 F250 F350 Turn Signal Switch w Out Cruise Control | eBay
Clueless ebay seller BS applications! There are TWO possible switches for 1969, one also fits 1970/72, but this ain't it!

This is C9TZ-13341-C = 1965/66 F100/250 2WD - 1966 F100 4WD - 1967/68 F100/350 - 1969 F100/350 BEFORE serial number G30,001.

Here's the other 1969 switch also used 1970/72:

D0TZ-13341-B = 1969 F100/350 FROM serial number G30,001 - 1970/72 F100/350.

And btw, the ebay seller is also clueless because F100/350's were not available with Speed Control until 1975. Cruise Control is a GM term.

Hey, pardon my ignorance to this group of experts, i got your name from another thread and found you and could figure out how to start a new thread with you so i'm popping on a pre-existin conversation with a new question that is unrelated to this thread (sorry about that).
Here is my question. I have a 1966 F100 300 cu inch 6 cyl with a manual T18 transmission. I'm trying to fix the "slop" in the shifting pattern. When i started a new thread with this question your name came up. Apparently there is a pin i can replace that should take alot of the slop out of the shifting pattern. Do you have the Ford part # for this pin? Do you have any pics of it and the transmission so i can replace it myself?
Many thanks for any assistance....Chris
