I've got some good news for all of you who have had a bad time with growing salad greens in the miserable heat and humidity of Norfolk's summer time:

It's called "MALABAR", or climbing spinach, spinach vine, ceylonese spinach - and prolly a whole truckload of other things besides.
A retired jarhead buddy of mine told me about this stuff - and gave me some seeds.
THIS CRAP GROWS LIKE WILDFIRE!!!
The stems are like asparagus, and the leaves can be used like spinach.
The yuppies and health nuts are all having conniptions over the stuff...
There's a green and a red stemmed type, and you can get seeds for each at:

Well I finally knocked an item off my to-do list today. I've been so busy building websites lately, I figured I might as well make it a side business. Still working on the website, but it's mostly up Cress Web Services, LLC. Still need to get a business license, get my EIN, and register for the state taxes and whatnot, but of course the IRS EIN site is down for maintenance.
I'm getting a 3'x6' banner up during the 9/11 Stair Climb for the cost of the banner, since I built the website. Should be great advertising!
