1952 F1 Rear Splash Gurad?
I know the 52 has read splash guards that mount somewhere behind the running boards and in the rear fenders. I've attached some pictures/diagrams showing them, but I do not know exactly where and how they mount. In the diagram, they are part#'s 16412 and 16413. Can anyone produced a picture of them installed and/or explain where and how to mount them? And, lately, has anyone tried to protect the wood floor edge that's exposed in the wheel well? I'm doing a resto mod to my 52 F1. The build can be viewed at Classic RestoMods - Home and click builds, F1. I also just bought another 52, flathead V8, 4 spd on the floor..... Thanks Mark

Mike... thanks a lot for your photos.... totally makes sense now. So the picture of the used part I attached goes in front of the running board, I get it. But the diagram makes it look like a different part than I thought. It looks like another part that goes to the rear of the running boards.... what's your thoughts?

The 16412/3 shields are listed in the Ford parts catalog as a rear wheel splash guard, used in platform (flatbed) applications. There's various complete part numbers for the different applications.
I believe the splash shield in question here, under the front fender is the 16022/3 part, not pictured.
