Finally Tuned!!!!! What a Difference!

Hey guys I just want to send props to the guys over at Power Hungry Performance. I just installed their Hyrda chip last night and this thing is SWEET!
Just so you know, this is my first tuner so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Shipping was fast and install was easy. It has a simple 17 position changer that mounts to the dash. Transition between tunes is smooth and takes 2 sec.

With the chip you can download any tunes you like from them and can change them at any time through the USB cord on the chip.

If you don't have a tuner yet......look into the Hydra. $400 with no charge for any of their tunes unless they custom tune for you.

Good to hear great things about companies Most go with Edge (I think that's the name, Stewart will correct me) but those are for diesels and so out of my realm. I went SCT myself and have used Diablo in the past with much success. Glad to see others hitting the market and making good products as well! Do you have a link to their website by chance? I'm to lazy to look for one myself

I have their old school 6 position chip, Definitely wakes up the 7.3. Customer service has been good with them, just a tad slow for my liking. The PHP guys know their stuff.

The tunes make you smile when you drive the truck now, I bet!!

I'll also give two thumbs up the PHP Hydra Chip!

I have had one in a 2000 7.3L Excursion since last March with great results. I generally run it on the 100HP setting for daily driving. I really like the Whisper tune for drive throughs.

I've put about 15K miles on the truck since tuning.

Its a night/day difference in power and acceleration. My EGTs are still well managed. Bill knows his stuff. . .

Once I got the correct ECM code set up for my model year, it was very easy to plug in the USB cable and make changes quickly.
