Good morning South Dakota, TGIF!
Office closes at 3 today. Yippee. But I'll most likely be working Monday since I got a system upgrade going in next week. The boss chewed me out for only working 45-50 hours a week the last month.

Usually the company......LOL. I like my overtime, so if I'm staying late, I'm getting paid for it. The salary guys around here have been getting hammered this year, 60-65 hour weeks. I'd be nuts!

The company replaced my coworker here by hiring a new guy down at HQ... Me and one other guy support 6 major applications running in 25 plant locations and the corporate office. It drives me nuts at times and I really don't have much time outside of work hours to "donate" to the company.

I had a salaried job...many years ago. The pay was very good...but...when I left I was averaging approximately 80 hours per week!!! Never again!!!

I have not run into this situation for several years. But, when they realigned my dept a year and a half ago I sort of figured this would happen. My old boss here feels bad, but not a thing anyone can do. If I wasn't dealing with the home stress at the moment, I'd be out the door.
