KAM fuse and A/C repair
I have a couple of issues I'm trying to work through.
I'd like to check the Keep Active Memory fuse I've seen referenced in other posts. My 96 2.3 5spd ranger won't complete a drive cycle test. Battery has not been disconnected since I replaced the starter months ago.
The AC compressor gave out on me last week so I've ordered a new one along with a drier and orifice tube, etc.. Going to tackle this myself. A friend does HVAC so he's going to evac the system for me but I'm doing the rest. Any tips or suggestions to help me save time/problems with this task?
Thanks,
JimA

So it's only one of the after cat 02 sensors that has the PCM upset. Seems like you should have a check engine light if a sensor was bad.
The fuse for the 02 sensor heaters is probably under the hood in the power dist box. Flip the lid over-should be a diagram-& see if the "Hego system" fuse is blown.
