Been almost 69 years, August 6, 1945. RIP

 

All men from a generation and a mindset we're not likely to see anytime soon again.

Indeed RIP sir, know our nation has your dedication and willingness to serve to thank for what we enjoy and too easily take for granted these days.

 

He was the most important guy on that mission...The Navigator...

If he screwed up his job they could have dropped that bomb in the wrong place...RIP

 

A sad reminder of the winking out of a generation...........a generation that was not afraid of doing what had to be done.

 

Actually, I think they were as afraid as anyone could be...but, they did what had to be done in spite of it.

 

Among other things - they were the first to build "Improved Tornado Shelters".

I have been fascinated by a game that is set in a post atomic holocaust scenario called "Fallout-3", in part because I grew up with "The Bomb" and the whole notion of 'What if?'...

But that was also a generation of startling scientific and other advances. They did BIG things in those days.

 

God Bless, Please rest in peace knowing there are still Americans out here that believe in the constitution and bringing peace to a ****ed up world that our kids and grand kids will have to deal with, does any one know if riff raff takes food stamps?
