Wiring the 02 engine harness into the OBS will not be fun. I would look for an obs harness to go on the 02 engine and make everything into OBS that you can.

You will need engine mounts from an OBS power stoke and drill holes in the crossmember for them

So all in all should he just go with a 12 valve cummins ? Lol. What makes most sense ?
I can give him a good deal on the 7.3

Unless his gas truck is absolutely SPOTLESS or has some sentimental attachment to the truck, it is just not worth it.

But if it is clean or he has an attachment, get a rotted or wrecked OBS to use as a diner. Then it would all bolt in

Hmmm. Well in my opinion the exterior of his pickup is a 8.5/10 and interior 9.5/10. And it's the short bed so that's cool. But it's totally up to him. I just thought I'd throw it out there and see what we could come up with. I thought the motor with 119k being a 7.3 power stroke would be a hot item on craigslist. Hasn't drawn much interest tho besides people askin for parts

Powerstrokes are a dime a dozen. they hardly ever go bad. My last one I had I pulled all the accessories and scrapped the engine and it ran fine because I couldn't even get a phone call at $400

I am parting 2 more power stroke trucks this fall,, the stick transmissions are worth more than the engines
