Morning fellas so didn't work today so I looked over my truck turned it on and check for voltage at the pos. side of the coil it had about 10 volts I said okay so I didn't know what else to do looked at my Haynes manual read it over and over. I said "well just for *****s and gigs lemme try this original duraspark module" so I disconnected the "new" China made module and hooked up the other one I had gotten hooked back up the battery went in boom started right up. I went back to advance auto and I told my friend "hey dude I guess I have a faulty module I guess I had no spark when cranking." He gave me another one I'm just gonna use the new one as a back up if this one ever goes south.

Thanks guys for helping me out.

Those fall into the same department as all the other cheap parts that are made for "get the vehicle in working order so you can sell it. When it eventually fails, it won't be your problem."

If you're going to hang on to something, get the best.

Glad you figured out what it was. Before you hang on to the one you picked up as a replacement, I'd swap it in to be sure it's working before you hang on to it as a backup.
