OK amigos, I hear you about a tire frying, gas hog, but..... inches are inches, so..... what is the real difference between a 300 IL 6 and a 302 V-8 ?? In a truck ? My old 300, with a few mods, is plenty fast enough to get me to the scene of the accident. Sure, stock it was a dog, but a sled dog, pulling wool with the big dogs. Now, with the cam, head work, Offenhauser intake, 4 bbl, valves, pushrods, springs and lifters and a few other tricks, it is plenty strong enough to where I can be first at the scene, if I push it.. but I do not feel the need to rush, as I have the rest of my life to get there. So much for old trucks, but in a 'Stang... sure, go for the pony's..

Russ I'm with you on the 300 in a truck. For the way I use a truck most of the time, it's hard to beet the low end torque of a 300. I pull a trailer a lot in the summer, to my apartments and to our farm. And one thing I learned early on, the 300 will get down and lug and walk right up the hills on the farm where a V8 will spin. And you don't want to spin on those old hills or you will be filling in a wash after a big rain or two.
Just a little update, I have got the first pass of blocking done on the Mustang. I'm touching up a few small blemishes and I be ready to spray another couple coats of primer and start blocking again.

Will Guys I went to the shop this morning with full intentions of getting the Mustang ready for the next coats of primer, but after I got to looking at it I decided to get rid of a couple more seams. But I know this will be all of them, because it's the last seams on the body. By the time I leave tomorrow night I'm hoping to have them done. One thing I had not shown anybody is the dash. Pads gone and holes welded up, and radio gone and that hole welded up.
