Why not go online and see what dealers are asking for similar trucks? Then discount that by a grand or two and sell it yourself!
Dealer NORM go with NADA Black book. This is parts truck or straight to auction. Private party will always get you better money. Also search CL for other areas. Might be worth more in Ohio then say Florida.

I say hang in there and ride the wave! the 6.0 definitely has a bad rap because of all the shenanigans from the dealers, bad mechanics and bad design which we now know how to upgrade! maybe the guy who bought it new and had trouble with the dealers fixing the truck in the God who buys it use not knowing that he's buying a on the limp that can be remedied , but dumps a ton of money into the truckwith a bad mechanic might lose out. But for the guy who gets this truck figured out, it is a tremendous value. because of the 6.0 bad reputation I don't think you will ever be able to buy this much truck for so little money again, and there's going to be tons of parts for years to come. And for guys who can afford a new truck "that would be me" and the guy who needs a lot of power and reliability "also me" the longer you hold on to the truck the more I will reveal itself as one of the best engines madeand it should get cheaper to drive and repair a long the way. I'll keep mine for the next 20 years! hopefully by then I can afford one of the new 2015 6.7 liters!!!

Dealers quote you wholesale price on any vehicle when trading in, it has nothing to do with a 6.0L engine. I had a 92 Chevrolet that I sold privately for $23k at the time, a Ford dealer had a truck that I was very interested in and he offered me $9k for mine...... I just about slapped him for being ridiculously stupid as I wasn't born yesterday.

For kicks I just ran your vehicle through my black book on-line tool, it back back with $10,800 low to $12,800 high as a trade in. FWIW.

I know exactly what you mean. I have a 06 XL with 224k miles on it and the dealer offered me 3k! lol I will keep it and drive the wheels off it before giving it away. We have all the big bugs worked out of them they are tough to sell.

Good luck!
