86 f250 c6 transmission not shifting.

86 f250 6.9 transmission not shifting. I did a fluid/filter and modulator change. The truck had 1st but no 2nd or reverse. It drove fine for about a mile(still no 2nd or reverse) than started slipping I checked the fluid and it was at the fill line I filled it up again now I have no gears. At 2500 Rpms it shudders Bad and starts to move. The modulator was replaced with a black stripe. Could my torque converter be going out. Or valve body.?
Any help would be great.

Sounds like the pump is out of it. But check the modulator and make sure the short rod is in place. If that rod is gone or misaligned it will cause it to do strange things.

My rod is gone. Any place I can pick up a replacement.?
I also heard that it could be that the torque converter is not seated right.

Not sure. Might try a tranny shop. Unless you had the tranny out I doubt the TC is misaligned. But if it was out recently and didn't get aligned with the pump and center shaft the the pump would have gotten broke when the tranny was installed. Seen that one before.

here you go http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-C6-Transmission-Modulator-Pin-/261526995561?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3ce4394269&vxp=mtr
Average length is 1.625 diameter is some where around a an 1/8. if you make one the ends are rounded and i would use some sort of drill rod.

One day first shift into to 3rd for the day and it broke two items, the Servo pin and the servo lever, and that was an F servo lever and an R servo, turned out not so easy a fix, had to jerk the unit out on the floor to repair it, the pin for the lever comes out the Converter side
