Working on a Dodge-
One of the company vehicles here is a 2012 Ram 3500 diesel, and the a/c went out the other day. It was in an incident last year, and the bent inner fenderwell has now rubbed a hole through the low pressure line from the evaporator to the compressor. I spent about an hour at the dealership yesterday trying to get this line, and it's the only one in their computer that doesn't come up. The counter jockey is trying to tell me that means the truck doesn't have this line, so there was quite a bit of back and forth about how a circulating closed system needs to be a loop and that means the truck has this line, but he couldn't think past the screen.
Does anyone know of a source for this line? I have checked all the normal channels, but even the a/c specific companies I have checked with don't have it.

I'm not familiar enough with Ram trucks, but does the compressor have two separate hose connections to it (suction line from evap, discharge line to condenser)?
Many vehicles have a compressor manifold/hose assembly, where the attachment to the compressor suction and discharge ports is via a single block that has the suction and discharge hoses as an integral part with the block. The whole thing is the A/C manifold/hose assembly.
If that is the case, I would hope (!!!) a parts guy would tell you that there is no separate suction hose, that you must buy the manifold/hose assembly. But there are some pitiful "parts" people out there.
