hahaha. I think it's funny that people still think that tattoos are taboo. I mean, maybe if you are getting them on your face and neck that could be an issue. I had a professor in college that had two full sleeves and I didn't know it until over half way through the semester. It was at community college though so maybe it did impede his upward mobility. Tattoos aren't just for convicts and misfits anymore. Your idea is a good one actually, showcasing what you're into without having to blab about it lol.
Tats aren't for everyone but that one looks pretty cool. Along the lines of what I was thinking years ago.
Funny about the twin with the same career comment. I have a twin in a similar career and it hasn't stopped him. However I have no tats and he is further along than I.
No worries though, the world and people are ever evolving.
I think tats are cool for others, but I don't have the vision necessary to pick what I want on my body forever. Heck, I can barely pay off a truck before I get tired of looking at it.
Nice work though! Vintage Americana! If you're going to do it, it's great if it tells its own story!
My take on it is that tatoos in an 'office setting' or seeking advancement it will be like your boss finding out you smoked some pot back in college in the 60s. Heck, even Bill Clinton admitted to that "but he didn't inhale"....Who gives a rip? It won't carry the stigma sometimes assoicated with tatoos in our generation. I raised 4 kids pretty much completely on my own. The 2 oldest got tatoos as soon as they legally could and I was against it at first, then I cooled off a bit and the next two kids never got one or showed any interest. I like the paratroopers on the Chrysler building and the f100 city scape. Heck, I'm working on a airplane propeller driven canoe. Who am I to judge?
How does the song go ... Oh lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way ... So why get a tat and mark up this body? Wait a minute do the scars from 17 operations to put a body back together count? No not the plastic surgery type for those of you thinking that way.
