Besides the obvious flaws, this is NOT a Ranger. 1965 F100/250 Rangers were not available with a blue interior, only black, red and tan.

The BODY code stamped on the Warranty Plate is B81 (Medium Blue Crush Vinyl & Medium Blue Ladder Pattern Woven Plastic), only correct for a 1965 Custom Cab w/a bench seat.

The COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate is W (Medium Blue), so the truck was not tu-toned originally.

In that prior discussion someone said it was a W color code and although a bit blurred, it does look more like a W than an M to me. Either way, not tu-toned from the factory.

Compare to this WM color code. This was the 1965 Ranger camper chassis. I have more pictures of this truck.

About 30 minutes ago, I took another look at the COLOR code, then changed it to W. See edited post.

1965 F100/250 Ranger only BODY codes: F - G - H

Everyone gets to have their own preferences, so this is just another guy's opinion but....

There are a few different two-tone paint configurations on the slicks.

This is one that should not be repeated.

I look at that truck every few days parked next to my Beemer at work. Carl just brought his 61 falcon sedan delivery he just finished in to work yesterday.

The truck was sold new with a ranger package on the original bill of sale at Sanderson Ford along with the two tone paint upgrade and roof mounted spotlight. I know of four of these in the valley done by Sanderson that are still around. Is it factory if the dealer provided the optional equipment and paint to Gussie up the truck and sold new?

As a ranger it is a hard sell and i have told him that.
