2WD F250 Lift
#2
Is your truck a 1/2 ton or bigger?
You can go to a junkyard and pull taller springs off of something.
Make or find something to use as spacers between the coil and mount.
Lower the mounting height of your coil buckets on the frame.
Call a spring company and have them make springs or see if they have something that will work.
Call Autofab and give him a large amount of money for his quality parts.
Get a set of the inside the coil air bags and put pressure in them.
These are a couple of the many options. I used poly body mount bushings as spacers and I am currently running 315-75-16 (35x12.5-16) on my 2wd 78 CCSB.
If your truck is a 1/2 ton then 3/4+ springs are taller, if you have a 3/4+ you could swap the coil buckets from a 1/2 on.

Seems like any lift on these 2wd requires beams to be bent to maintain alignment did you have any issues?

I disassembled, installed a spacer, assembled, test drove and repeat 5 times in 1 day in order to get the tallest I could without negative effects to my steering.
I went from having slight negative camber to slight positive camber.
I got longer bolts and cut threads farther down the shank as needed, I was hoping to be able to gain more than I was.

Spacer? UNDER the spring? That is totally unsafe. Do it safely or don't do it at all.
Stay away from public roads with that concoction lest you kill somebody or yourself.

Look here old man
I simply asked about the process. I thought the spacer under the spring sounds a little odd, which is why I asked about it.
I asked how the kit is installed, its the same engineering as the leveling kits on the new F150's.
Mabe you should lay off the testosterone treatments in your old age.
Try not to be such an internet tough guy.

I'll Side with HIOSilver, That looks unsafe as all hell. If you wheel that thing too hard, or hit a pothole the wrong way, it's going to squeeze that little red marshmellow, and your spring is going to slip over it, and throw your steering/balance off, HARD. Causing death, injury or damage to you, or others.
If you're doing a spacer on a spring, Go over the top of it that covers, or better yet envelops the whole top of the spring and use longer bolts there.
If it were me, I'd swap coil springs from a F350, they'll be stiffer than half ton springs. Or do a body lift using hockey pucks as spacers.
I do. I'm also 27.

Who says "hokey" anymore?

Wow
What a disaster. I simply asked what the process would be. Never thought I would be crucified and accused of trying to kill myself and others on the road. I was simply looking for a way to clear larger tires, and thought the process of adding a spacer would work. Its done every day on new F150 owners running larger tires.
Well at least this painful process is over. Wish you all the best and will probably just buy some F350 springs.
Best to all, no hard feelings.
