Clutch Safety Switch

Hello all, I have a 1988 F150 with the Straight 6 300 with the Borg Warner 1-18 manual gearbox. I REALLY get tired of having to stab the clutch pedal to the floor/firewall to be able to start the truck. From what I understand all I need to do is find a truck around the same year with an automatic and remove a by-pass type plug in thing from the auto truck and plug it into where my switch on the clutch pedal plugs in. Is this true? and if so, is there anyone out there who has a truck they are parting out, or access to a parts truck that would sell me this part? I will pay you well for it as all the yards around me won't let you pull your own parts. Any help would be appreciated

i took mine off opened it up and put the spring on the other side so it thinks its always pressed then zip tied it up so if i ever want to go back i just move the spring back and no cutting of wires done here. i have tried the plug from an auto and couldnt seem to get it to work for some reason

Thanks for the reply! Great idea to move the spring. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Every time I post on this site I either get no responses, or just one. I don't get it..... anyway, Thanks Again

i did mine a couple of months ago by simply removing the electrical connector which is mounted up on the clutch master push rod, then jumper the two red/blue tracer wires (i may have the colours wrong ...could be blue/red tracer).
