Broken Leaf Springs - Replace the Pack or Individual Leaves?

My 77 4x4 F-150 has a broken rear leaf springs on each side. On each side it's the leaf 3rd from the top that is broken.

I've been talking to some guys about replacing just the broken leaves. They say that is easier and it would definitely be cheaper to just replace a couple of leaves.

My concern is that since the leaves have been broken for so long, are the other leaves bent? If they are bent, can they be used with a replaced leaf?
Do I replace the 2nd leaf too just to be sure?

How about that arch, huh? Passenger side, looking back.

Same as last photo

The pickup is jacked up now. Looking at the drivers side in front of the wheel.

Jacked up, drivers side.

Jacked up driver's side. 3rd leaf is broken. Are the others bent????

Jacked up passenger side. 3rd leaf is broken. Are the others bent????

Close up of pass. side

Thanks guys.

Must be a tougher question than I thought!
Opinions are welcome!

I personally, would replace them all, as it appears they are all weak.
I new leaf is not going to give the other springs any lift, it will just sag along with the rest.

I'm not averse to work and effort but it would be waaaay easier just to replace the leaf pack...

And if you were thinking of a lift (and at the same time have a less kidney-jarring ride) consider a set of Deaver springs.

I thought it would be better to swap the pack too, I just wanted outside opinions. Thanks guys.

So I located this pair of springs for $100 or $75 for trade of my broken ones. Good deal? I'm thinking yes.

If money's tight you prolly won't beat that deal unless you go to a PnP and remove them yourself.
If money's not tight, get a set of Deavers and you'll never want to give them up.

The bad part about getting used springs, that are not on a truck, is that you may find out that they flatten out as bad as the ones that you have.
Seems like this guy that you are buying them from, will put a single leaf in them and sell them to someone else.

You may be paying for better or for worse...

With my limited experience and limited tools, i would not take that deal. Swapping out leaf packs is not simple. And at the end of the day, if it doesnt solve the problem, you will only be $75 further in the hole.

I have deavers front and rear and I'm not that impressed...FWIW.

Certainly not for the big money I have in them.

I'm just giving opinions.
I would hold off a bit if you can, maybe scour Craigslist or junkyard so you can see weight of the truck on 'em.
I know all about money being tight, thats why i am empathizing with you.

ATS Junior, a member here, knows about leaf springs and bushings and all that. His prices are reasonable, maybe see what he says about your situation

Suggest a pick and pull to meet your parameters.
More work for you but less cost. Also prolly able to find a better set that hasn't been in the elements forever.
