Want to change to AT tires

I just bought an FX4 with 20 inch rims. It came with the perelli scorpion tires. They just look kinda small to me. Has anyone else changed out tires to maybe a little taller tire. I need input on what size tire to get. If anyone has pics to share of what they look like, that would be awesome too. I did get a 2" leveling kit on my truck. the tire size on there now are 275/55/R20

Im not sure . I guess I just need to look at other peoples truck tires for sizes that I think look goood. I just dont want one that is going to make my gas mileage go to crap. I know there is going to be a tradeoff at some point. mileage for size

I am going with Goodyear Duratracs in a few months before the snow flies. I plan on staying with the stock size though. From everything I've read and researched, most guys have lost 1mpg with the switch.

Oh yeah. I was averaging around 19.5 (mostly freeway) and now I'm getting 16.7. Remember though, I haven't done any sort of reflash for the larger tires so the loss probably isn't as bad as it looks. When these wear out, I'm seriously considering the P275/55/20 Terra Grapplers. (problem is I love the way my truck looks now.)

Thanks. My wife noted that I get more compliments on my truck than she gets on her BMW.

If you run the numbers, 2 mpg over 50k miles (the lifespan of a set of tires) means you'll spend an extra $1000-1500 on gas (and 4 mpg would be $2-3000). No value judgment here, just numbers.

My problem with 20" wheels on a truck is that the tires do end up looking more like rubber bands stretched over the rims and offer no useful performance gains for a truck unless you consider "bling" as part of performance--I'd prefer 17 or 18" wheels with a taller tire.

I like my rubber bands too. I hated the stock Pirelli rubber bands that came on my truck.
