Burning oil

My 88 bronco 302 has been sitting for 5 yrs. just got her running recently but it smokes terrible. And it seems to burn a lot of oil. I put about 35 miles and its at the add mark. It does leak a little around the oil pan gasket but no way its leaking that much. I figured after running a little while it would just clean the crap out of the motor from sitting. But no it really hasnt gotten any better. Is the motor shot or some seals inside bad. And the oil gets wicked hot. Way hotter than it should be. It doesnt overheat but i get smoke coming out of the dip stick tube when i take it out. I put a quart of lucas in. Dont think it helped.
