Making a parts list.

So I am attempting to put together a parts list for some upcoming work i want to do once I am back in Colorado. Main point of the work is to do the head studs but figure I might as well do a oil cooler, and all the updated stand pies dummy plugs and turbo tubes. I have the majority of my list made but I cant find a list of what gaskets and various other parts I will need to complete the job. If any one has a list of these that would be great also any input on what other work i should do or plan for. I already have a BPD egr cooler and my sinister coolant filter should be here tomorrow.

Depending on mileage, you may consider new lifters while you are in there. You will also need rocker box gaskets. Valve cover gaskets are reusable, but may be brittle...

I am coming up on 170000 Miles. I knew the cover gaskets were reusable but as many times as I have had them off I think I will just replace them this time Didnt know about the rocker box though

I believe the intake gaskets are reusable as well, but I don't reuse them. As far as lifters are concerned, I bet the consensus will be to leave them alone at 170k. I don't think failures are considered common on the 6.0, but it happens.

New ones will be going in mine when it gets studded.

Go with the 6.4 pushrods, 6.4 banjo bolts, exhaust gaskets and bolts, turbo reinstall kit, blue spring, dummy plugs, stc fitting, 4 copper washers for fuel lines.

6.4 bolts are on the list. blue spring is done. dummy plugs and stc are on the list as well. turbo kits I try to keep on hand. What is the advantage of the 6.4 push rods.

Eric, didn't the 6.0 push rods get updated, basically the same as the 6.4 now 8C3Z-6565-B?

Sure did. They are the 6.4 pushrods. The benefit is that they are I think .020 shorter than the old pushrods. Helping the cam and lifters not to prematurely wear out.

Do you mean the oil supply and drain tubes to the turbo? If so, your '07 should already have them...

Would it be worth doing a HPOP or would I be ok reusing the one in it. Also I am not trying to make enourmous power from the truck but I have seen people upgrade the intercooler to one with metal ends. The cold side metal CAC is also on the list and depating a new turbine on the turbo.

The HPOPs on the later trucks are robust, but have you changed out the STC fitting off the HPOP? That should be on the list for sure...

You also need the two that go to the fuel filter housing banjo bolt.

Someone said lifters but to do that you need access to the rear
of the engine and have to take that cover off to pull the branch tube.
So to do that your going to need a HPOP gasket set and a rear main
seal and the silly tool to install it.
