I have tried close to 100 different waxes in my lifetime. My favorite is Collinite 845. Love the stuff!

I'm using Profection, a polymer sealant and I only need to do it at the beginning and end of the summer. The truck stays shiny and feels slick the rest of the time and the bugs wash off easily. I'm also using it on the headlight and tailights because it has UV protection.

Here's a link to a write up about it by Beechkid:

Here's one about making a cheap but very nice wash bucket, just use two 5 gal buckets with holes drilled in one:

More wax discussion:

And otherwise you can look through the Appearance and Dress Up section of this forum.

Well the wax I use is not cheap but it's the best wax I have used to date. I also am a fan of paint sealants as well (HD POXY).This wax goes on easy and doesn't leave a residue! A little bit goes a long way too.

I am too - it's easy on & easy off and doesn't leave white residue. I wax and use spray detailer weekly and have tried al national brands.
my second choice is nu finish rapid shine. ( and technically speaking nu finish is not a wax)

when it comes to waxing a car the thing that's makes the difference is:
Paint condition
Humidity
Temperature
Type of paint.
