Talked to carburetor shop yesterday at hot rod swap meet.
Owner has been in the carburetor business for 35 years.

Looked in the carburetor application book for 1965 F100 300-6 and it shows the Autolite 1100.

Carburetor shop indicated the the Autolite 1100 is still in high demand for hot rod mustang crowd.

Actually, the model number with the manual truck choke is Autolite 1101.
The carburetor has Motorcraft embossed on the body.
The model 1100 is with the automatic thermal choke.

Looked up the Autolite 1100 rebuild video posted on U-Tube by Mike's Carburetor Parts.

The carburetor in the photo is not an Autolite 1100.
The Autolite 1100 has a square rubber diaphram.
The carburetor in the photo and the carburetor removed from the 1965 300 does not have a square rubber diaphram.

Called Mike's Carburetor Parts and furnished the letters on the metal tag fastened to the carburetor, D0PF J.

It took Mike about 15 seconds to find the carburetor.

Apparently, the Holley 1940 is a direct replacement for the Autolite 1100 with automatic choke and the Autolite 1101 with manual choke.

The Carburetor is actually a Holley 1940.
This carburetor was used on 1965-69 Ford 240 & 300 engines.

Rebuild kits are readily available.
