I just got a set of yellow Monroe Gas Magnums for my truck, its just a 3/4 ton though. They are much bigger then the ones I put on my sisters XJ Jeep Cherokee and my Jeep Grand Wagoneer, so I imagine they would be even more so for your application. My favorite budget shock by far. Rockauto has good prices on them.
Oh course a bilstein would be better, but you can get 4 monroes for the cost of 1 of those!

I just was able to get part numbers off the shocks on the 2000 f450 superduty v10
front motorcraft F81a-18045-bna under it is cl30s1d
Rear motorcraft F81a-18080-dca under it is cl29s1s
these numbers are from 2000 original shocks they probably have superseded numbers does anyone know ?
im looking on rock auto but no matching numbers that's because a new number probably took its place.
so im gonna with motorcrafts , kyb monomax or bilsteins but need to figure out what f47 model is for the kyb brand

The Bilstein lifetime warrenty looks like a joke to me. A guy here on FTE had 2 of his front Bilsteins blow on his super duty with a slide in camper and Bilstein said they would not warrenty them. He was running a washboarded dirt road to a state or federal park when they popped. So I won't even bother looking at Bilstein products.
I have been running the Monroe Reflex shocks for a few years now and so has my dad. So far they have been working well. They are starting to rust up pretty good so I guess I'll have to do their shock exchange soon to get new ones.

They didn't just "pop", they freaking melted the shock boots. It was crazy. Denied warranty for "offroad use" of shocks specifically designed for lifted applications.

Thanks for posting the thread I did not have it handy. +1 to you.
Yeah Bilstein proved why I don't put much faith in warrenties, they are only as good as the company giving the warrenty. It is obvious in this situation Bilstein is a crappy company. A company that sponsors, makes, markets and etc shocks for offroad use. Though I would say in this case the guy was not "offroading" IMO. He just got on a bumpy road which is very common.
I have never had an issue over the years loaded at or above GVWR on anywhere from bumpy mountain roads, to canadian dirt roads to the big holes in interstates and PA roads without issue.

They let you turn in your old shocks when they rust?
