people usually get tired of this question pretty quick.....but luckily for you there's literally a thread 3 spots up from your question that has 300 replies that would help you out! " tuners, intakes, exhaust and emissions delete"

Just turn it off at every red light.....and stop sign....and when sitting in a parking lot....and when in a drive through....but drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.

That should account for about +6mpgs.

Save $1,500 and keep your foot off the go pedal. Use the $1,500 savings for fuel!

Seriously, I am tuned, deleted, intaked, etc. and it's so much fun I can't keep my foot from slamming the go pedal down - therefore no additional fuel mileage but I have tons of torque and horsepower!!!

Actually, for my roughly $2,500 in upgrades and putting on over 2,000 highway miles per month with the cruise on, I am getting about 1 mpg increase - of course the cruise is set at 75mph. If I drove 60 on cruise, I'd probably see about a 3mpg increase - tuned or not tuned. I tuned and deleted for reliability, not to save $$. These trucks are pretty damn efficient without tuning.

I have to ask - that is a joke isn't it!! You just spent many thousands of dollars on an 8000+ pound 406 cid heavy duty 400Hp/800 lb ft torque pick up truck that will run all day at 60-70 miles per hour on open country roads and pull down in excess of 20 miles per gallon. If you only want more mpg using a 4-700 buck tuner, the payback period will be longer then the life of the truck for, maybe, 1 or so mpg . If you want really high DIESEL fuel mileage, buy yourself a Volkswagen TDi and forget these brick shaped pick up trucks with the aerodynamics of the side of a barn.

Couldnt agree more.I see these posts all the time.Should not be titled I want better fuel mileage, should say I want to turn my already fuel efficient 3.5 ton truck that I spent 55k on into a rocket.Lol.(or whatever you spent if its used)
Seriously dont do it for fuel mileage.I used to tune my trucks and in actuallity it just makes your foot even heavier.Less fuel mileage. If you have other reasons to do it go ahead but dont say its fuel mileage thats just a joke really. If we can afford to buy these trucks we can afford to pay for the fuel.

Just drove my stock '11 350 with 3.55 rear from Delaware to OBX. I got 21.4mpg. I agree what more could you want out of an 8k brick on the highway! I want to do the delete eventually. Not for mileage as it seems the returns aren't there but just mainly cause we're boys with toys and can't leave our trucks alone! The thing I do always wonder about is long term deletes without using high power levels....will this really increase reliability by removing items like the dpf and egr?

Ok, well this is the exact truck I just bought. I have just heard that using a chip could give you 5-7 more MPG. If its negligible then I don't really care. My previous truck (07 z71) got 6 1/2 MPG, but it's also had a 12" lift with 44's.

If you believe that advertising BS, that's your prerogative. There is only just so much you can drag out of +/-128,500 Btu/US gallon diesel fuel

Mine will regularly do 20 - 21 highway speeds up to 68-72mph as long as that imaginary egg under my right foot remains unbroken. Once broken(gotta hear that turbo occasionally!!) - it starts to drop down to 19-19.5. It has 3.55 gears, totally stock long bed F250(avatar truck). Your 3.31 gears may not put the engine in the best efficient rpm range by a hundred or revs.
