Vin decode

Hello I am new to the site normally over on the classic broncos site but couldn't find what I was looking for there so thought I would cast my net further out.

I have an early bronco with the glove box vin that I can't seem to decode all of.
Not sure if it is a type on the plate or just a rare one.

Here goes.
The Vin is
U157LM68917

I get the U15 and I get the LM68917 the part that I can't seem to find is the 7 in the middle and no I am not imagining it as I have looked at it so many times it isn't funny anymore.

If someone could help me out I would be greatly appreciated.

If there is anyone on here in central or western NC that wants to talk bronco's or turn some wrenches together let me know, always looking to meet more people in the area.

Thanks
William
