There are a few hundred threads around here about the electric pumps. The best is the facet duralift pump, but they're hard to find at local stores.
Basically you need a low pressure transfer pump made for diesel fuel not gasoline.

My one last question is that ive read about when the fuel pumps go they let fuel into the crank case? Does this happen everytime or is it a rare thing?

Yes they can. Any diaphragm pump can do that.

If they are Ford gp's they should come out clean. If some other brand then it gets dicey. A lot of folks try and with some success to remove swelled gp's by putting a chuck on them and holding pulling pressure on them and screwing out of the head basically threading them out.
