tight steering

I've got an 08 F150 and the steering has gotten tight when at low rpms or when not moving. The pump's whining and laboring. Fluid is clean and full. Anyone else have this issue? Ideas?

I've read here where the steering shaft joints may need lubricating. That's the joints between the steering column and the steering gear box.

I've heard that somewhere also. I'm going to try it and see if it helps.

Yes, either lube up those joints and work them around to free them up, or if it doesn't get better, just put a new one in. Not hard to change.
