Sorry if there's a post that has this - I couldn't find any.

My in-dash cupholder, while on it's best day is not that useful, had the little inch long spring pop off it. Now the little backrest for cups in the cupholder won't pop up when you slide the cupholder out.

Can anyone tell me how it reattaches? Or have a schematic pic??

Ahh yes the "cup ejector". My 2000 came with that pile o pain new. You can pick up a replacement on eBay the will actually retain your cup for about 70 bucks new and even less used. Look it up and you will see the difference.

 

I see a ton on ebay. Any particular manufacturer I should look for? I definitely don't want to get the same exact style; ya know :-)?

 

I bought my 2000 new and it came with this style cup holder, much better than the previous version.

A friend just changed his 99 out for the same reason, he is much happier with the newer style.

 

yep, my '99 was broke too, everyone on here always said to upgrade to '00+
