Chevron 400 LE Oil

Chevron 400 LE Oil
OK, I have been running the Rotella T6 for some time with good oil analysis. However, after approx. 2k to 3k the oil starts turning black - not like the honey colored when installed.
Recently I have tried the Chevron 400 LE full synthetic and it will stay the honey colored until approx. 7k when I need to add another two quarts. I just got a good oil analysis back at 10k and it is a little discolored but certainly not dark in color as compared to the T6 at the same mileage.
I am just wandering if any of you guys have noticed the same thing - not that it is causing any problems, just wandering what technically might be causing this change in color.
This is not intended to start an "oil debate".
Thanks guys,

I'll investigate. The reason oil turns black is because its doing its job. Its picking up the ash and moving it. Diesels create lots of soot and that's why our oil goes dark so fast. Black oil is not bad oil in a diesel.
Some trucks produce less ash and their oil stays amber longer but I wouldn't think an oil would pick up less than another.
Did you change filters? What filter are you using?
