Place the fuel in an approved container and take it with you and every time you stop, check the bottle (let it cool a bit) and pull off any that has accumulated. You may also consider running the degas bottle a little low on the coolant level so it does not start belching out all over the place id it gets too full of diesel.
Um, siphon. Yeah! Major brain fart on my part. I really overcomplicated that one, didn't I

Haha!! Well, it was very clever and if siphoning doesn't work we have a back up we never would've thought of!

If you are in Jackson you are only 5.5 hours from GA.
Pull off the fuel keep an eye on it I don't see why you would hurt anything.
Just a word you are going to go to leave Mississippi and have a long road ahead of nothing for some time until you hit Utah. So pick up all you might need before you leave.

I drove for nearly a year with diesel in the coolant because it took me several trys to get all the injector cups sealed. Truck ran and cooled just fine (towed up to 19k). Hoses did get soft and I changed them as a result. I had to change the degas bottle as well, since the fuel distorted the cap to where I could not get it to hold pressure.

In this case, I would say they made it ok, or there would be more questions. Good job guys for helping these folks out. You exemplify the courteous, helpful attitude here. Even though the internet allows some folks to be rude, it also allows many more to be helpful and kind without any expectation of reward. I thank you!

What he said ^^^. I always enjoy these threads. Never in a million years did I think there was an Internet forum where people would actually go out of their way to help others. Then I found FTE a couple years ago. I don't travel far very often, but when I do load up my wife and 4 kids to go on a trip, it's nice to know there's a free support team just a click away. Reps sent to you SAR and Snake Doc!

Matt, is it possible that Mr. Hewett is plenty knowledgeable and does good work, but comes across a little "differently" because of his personality or he tries too hard in his videos? Sometimes people can be misunderstood because they are different, but can have truly a good heart. I actually hope he means well. Larry

I think he's a complete tool. I wouldn't let him near a lawn mower engine, let alone my truck. Anyone who implies the HPO system is a closed system, and advocates using an impact wrench to R&R a compressor wheel is no expert, IMO.
