The day has finally come, the last day of the lease on my Boss's F-150 and i signed the paperwork and took ownership of my new to me 2011 F-150 Lariat Limited 4x4 with 22k miles on it.

I'm absolutely in love! I spent the first half of the day at work driving our '13 EcoBoost and the second half driving my new 6.2, i know i made the right choice! This thing is a beast. I'm getting used to driving somthing with more then 4 gears..takes some getting used to all the shifting.

I have already installed my Retrax bed cover, the thing is 10 years old and spend the last decade on my grandpas 2004 f-150. gave her a nice bath..just have under the hood and some light interior cleaning to do. I have Husky molded splash guards on order, along with the wheel well liners for the rear. Other then adding HIDs or LEDs (have not decided) and blacking out the amber mirror reflector i dont think i'll do much to her...but that always changes

My grandpa just got his '08 sport trac yesterday, so being one is all white and the other all black i had to get pics together

Drop the halogens and do a retrofit or OEM HID upgrade. I'd be happy to discuss that process in a PM as I recently had a really bad experience that led to a really good company helping me out.

Thanks guys! I spent a good part of the day out and about driving around running some errands. I'm on cloud 9 i'll tell you! The wait was VERY long but VERY worth it. SO glad i did not get a STX last fall like i came very close to doing.

Ebony and Ivory is the first thing i thought of also...

I have not decided what i'm going to do with the lights. we still have alot of daylight right now so its not a huge concern. But i'll either go with LED or HID drop in's like i have all my other trucks. I would like the projectors but the coin required for them is not there at the moment...so undecided on this at the moment.


overall there isnt much that needs to be done with this baby, shes pretty much set. I snagged my Grandpas like new blizzak snow tires on wheels from his '04 F-150 we sold a month or so ago.

I went for a random drive tonight, i have 205 miles now and not even on half a tank. still showing 14.4 mpg..i could get 400 miles + out of a tank...AWESOME! its pouring rain out tonight and it handled the standing water very well. felt very planted and sure footed.

Its going to take a get weeks for it to really sink in that its mine.
