I too am jealous of the 11 Limited wheels. I wish my 13 had them.

Looks like a fun trip. The 17's didn't look so good after all.

I actually like the looks of the 17's on Russ's truck. They give it a bit more of a rugged look.

Agree, those 17's looked like all business. They just lacked in the coolness factor.

just curious ... does the engine have to work that hard, or are you flat-footing it up the hills?

i guess the camper doesn't look that big/heavy, so i was just surprised that it needed to run that hard up the hills .....

The 17"s look terrible, i can't wait to get rid of them in favor of raptor wheels.

No, it's 434lb of TQ does wonderfully! I just don't take anything slowly.

We have two lane highways except for truck/slow lanes on the large hills. So you guys know me by now...i was in the fast lane getting past as many of those idiots that wanted to go 60 in a 65 zone. Once i got out in front it had no problem maintaining even the steepest grade in 4th @ 65mph around 3k rpm. I like to run 70-73mph so with tourist traffic i end up doing a lot of passing. Also it's constant up and down, no flat land so that's why i locked out 6th gear for most of the trip...closer to home from Portage to Anchorage i could run in 6th gear if people could ever figure out how to hold a steady speed!! UGH!

I was hauling *** on the way home...one in my party got sick and was sitting with a barf bag so i wanted to get home as soon as possible. That 6.2 sounds amazing running high rpm though...beastly!

Here is a quick time lapse video of the drive someone else filmed to give you an idea of the highway...hard to tell the grades but some are substantial

Another camping trip down, headed north on the Glenn Highway to a friends place for the 4th of July. Truck pulled great, I had the 4 wheeler in the bed of the truck.

Coming up quickly on 1 year with the truck, could not be more happy with it

Loaded up ready to head out on Friday

The speed limit going north on this highway is 55 mph, so I ran about 60 mph when possible. Lots of road construction and down to 45 mph.\

Our friend likes to run junker cars off the cliff at his 4th festivities...we bought a Jeep to do the same with, but it hit a rock up on the launch pad and never made it over

Even did a little ziplining...this is the start, 1/2 mile and 70 mph!

Another record high temp today...81F! I had to pull my bed cover off to be able to put the 4 wheeler in the bed with the tailgate up. Back in may i hauled a BBQ, well it had some scales of rust in the bottom that tell out in the bed of the truck. Today not thinking i had the back window open along with the sunroof...got out on the highway and before i knew it chunks of rust were flying in the cab. So tonight i cleaned the bed out, even sprayed it down with simple green and scrubbed it before putting my bed cover back on. Looks like brand new now!

Looks nice. Your liner seems to be holding up well.

It was done by a local company before my Boss took delivery, they have a good reputation i use them at work for customer's trucks all the time. It looked a little faded but it was just dirty.

Btw, I'm on vacation right now and REALLY missing my truck's! Driving a Chevy Malibu sucks!

I'm not much of a car person either, however in the city it is a little easier to park a car than a truck. Looks like you spent some time in Chicago. If you are still here & like ribs I suggest Twin Anchors Ribs. If you want some traditional Chicago lunch food, Luke's or Portillo's are Chicago favorites. Then of course there's Gino's East Pizza.

I'm in Grand Rapids, MI right now, heading back to IL on Thursday. leaving Sat afternoon and really want to get some deep dish! I'll have to try and stop in to Gino's i've been told multiple times it's good!

BTW, I've done a bunch of miles the last few days in 3 states and seen TON's of F-150's and i've not seen ONE 2011 Limited! But in Anchorage I know of at least 6 other 2011 Limited's...Three of them are on the same main road as I live off of...crazy! Out of 3000 made a bunch made it to Alaska apparently

I don't see many Limiteds around here, I'm starting to see some Platinums. The XLT is probably the most common. My favorite deep dish Pizza's in order are Lou Malnati's, Gino's East, Edwardo's & Giordano's. Enjoy your trip!

So, I was a bit concerned that my Excursion would have a dead battery after 9 days, but to my surprise it was fine and fired right up. I took a vid just waiting for it to be dead an nope! F-150 fired up like any other day.

Plus you can kinda see the LED bulbs i have in the factory tail lights.

What bedliner? Looks like a plastic lay in one? My new f350 (btw russ if you didn't see, check my thread, got myself a f350 CC dually 6.0 with only 39k miles!) But my dually has a spray in Line-X branded bedliner. Its nice but to be honest, ive always liked the plastic lay in ones the best. Considering getting one, the line-x will just be extra protection under the plastic liner if i do get one.

also, those 2 little lights i saw in a pic a few posts up, the one with your tailgate down. Are they hooked into your hitch?

as always, love your pics, and yes that Malibu sucks lol
