So, in the last week I've found myself worrying a lot when parking. I typically pull right up front in a end spot and leave as much room on the side with the other car as possible. With the F-150 i'm parking out away from people and walking...something i never expected to do.
I had to run down town yesterday for work, they have free parking for people going into City Hall so i used it..nice big spaces! glad i could see my truck from the window

I`m the same way with parking.....actually am surprised at all the F150s and I`m talking loaded ones like yours (platinums,fx4s etc...) I see crammed into spots....mines only an XLT and I cringe at the thought of some careless person letting their door bang into it

Doesn't matter what trim level it is, its someones hard earned money. People just don't give a **** it seems. I really try to scope out parking and get the safest place possible, still one day its not going to be enough and i'll get a ding

Tonight some friends and I went to check out the new Hard Rock Anchorage, i'll tell you the back up camera works GREAT for parallel parking!

Nice Russ!
That's the mileage my 06 F150 SCrew with the 5.4L would get. Amazing to see that 6.2L lump getting the same with a ton more power.

I put bright source HID conversion kit into my 2012 F150. It was a major change. Lots of extra light. They look great. It's a harness, exciters, bulbs etc in the kit.

Ive had them one winter. Other than people flashing you, they seem to be night and day improvement over OEM.

I'll be putting them into my Excursion too this year.

Oh by the way that is a sweet truck you have. I'd really like to drive a 6.2. I have the 5.0 and it's a good engine. I've driven the 3.5 Eco, but prefer the V8. Too bad you can't get a bigger v8 in the 2015 line up.
I wish the 6.2 was available in the XLTs too, not just the limited/rapter and HD versions.

Actually the 6.2 has been available in XLT form in super cab and super crew for 2013 and 2014 with 3.55 or 3.73 rear ends.

I have VVME HIDs on order right now for the heads and foglights, i run them on all my trucks and i take time to aim them so i don't get high beamed.

I also have 6.2L decals coming, going to put them on the front doors in the same area as the Raptor.

Congrats Russ!! Told you the 6.2 was a beast! I love the New Super Duty, but dearly miss my 2011 Harley Davidson! Once you settle down and not have your foot in the fire wall, it will get decent gas mileage, not great but good for what it is.

I've actually been pretty light on the go pedal, and i'm getting EPA numbers so i'm pretty happy.

Little trip out to Wasilla today, man she is a cruiser! nice and smooth and never left 6th gear even on the biggest hills.

On the way out there i notice the blower motor is blowing on high no matter what the setting on the controls is. googled it and found it to be a common issue with the blower motor resistor, soooo before leaving Wasilla i stopped at the ford dealer there and picked one up. got home and 15mins later had it replaced and working well.

well my HIDs came in along with my 6.2 decals, which i'm disappointed with since they are much smaller then i expected. I'll have to just break down and buy real 6.2 emblems.

I need to do the fog light mod to keep them on with the high beams, otherwise i'm just going to drive it for awhile, but new tires in the spring!

6000K low/high and fogs.

lows and fogs

highs

the little decals..i might as well remove.

Nope, not now at least. I've been very impressed with VVME plug and play kits, i have one kit in my dads Explorer that was installed in his old Explorer back in 2007 and still works great to this day. They have the best bulbs i've found as it keeps the arch in the right place and does not cause a huge amount of glare. These f-150 headlights handle the beam pattern great and keep things focused well.

Instead of dropping $1k+ on factory projectors (which i'm not a huge fan of due to the cutoff..in the pitch black it kinda sucks) I spent that cash on a trip to Seattle in September for a friends wedding…and that only cost $950 for 2 plane tickets, hotel and car for 4 days

I may have lied earlier though, i will probably go through and change all the incandescent bulbs out for LEDs in the next few months
