OD light flashes and CEL comes on sometimes :(

Pulled the codes and erased them a few days ago for the first time and now it's about a once a day thing. I can drive for 2-3 stops and then I come out of a place, get in the truck, and when I start it up I have the light and the OD flashing. This is what the commander says:

Please don't tell me it's a COP

No it's not a COP, does your speedo read correctly?

As far as I can tell it is yeah. I honestly don't pay that much attention to it... I'll get the Garmin out tonight and check the GPS against the speedo to see. AFAIK it should be pretty close though. Only thing off would be slightly larger tires.

On the rear of the transmission, up top you'll find something that looks like a little like this. Check the connection, and also pull it and see if the end of the sensor is cracked, sometimes they crack and let fluid in. I believe the actual sensor pictured is the TSS, but they are similar in design and function.

I am far to tired to do it today sadly, but I will first thing in the morning Basically all I need to do is find the harness, make sure it's connected well? Does it just pull out or is it held in with a bolt?

I found the OSS on ebay for $16.75. Supposed to be OEM. Changed mine but, I am still having problems though. I have not run the codes yet.

The code doesn't always mean the sensor is bad. It could also be a damaged wire to the sensor.

Yes. I think you need to determine if the sensor is bad, or if you have a bad connection or a damaged wire to the OSS.

I didn't see anything in the video that looks bad. The yoke is NOT falling out of the transmission. It moves in and out as the rear axle moves up and down. That's normal.

If you mean the sensor, there in one bolt that holds it into the case. Remove the bolt and pull it out. It can stick and take quite a pull to get it out.

Mark do we need to send out a search and rescue crew for him?

BTW what is the testing procedure for that sensor on the transmission?
