How long do you plan on owning your current Ford truck?
I have owned a number of vehicles that I was more or less in love with. Each of these cars or trucks hold a special place in my heart but aren't necessarily still parked in my driveway. How many of you plan on keeping your Ford truck forever? How many of you already have plans to trade-in or sell your current truck when the next generation is available? What cars or trucks do you regret selling? Let's see them and hear your thoughts and stories!

I have had my constantly evolving 69 F250 for over ten years now, but it will go away in favor of the next version soon. My Courier has been part of the group for about six or seven, and is in the midst of a complete rebuild.
The van was just bought this year but after a major cash infusion this fall/winter it should be around for a good long time.

well, i actually sold 18 over the years.
13 falcons, a 97 grand marquis, a 99 crown vic, a 75 suburban,
an 86 F-250(traded in on the 88 for 2 grand more than i paid for it)
and a 79 F-350 that the frame rotted out on twice. i did not want to fix it a third time, and i was offered $1500 for it as it sat

I will keep my truck till it is truly not repairable.
Instead of posting the vehicles I regretted getting rid of, I will mention the one I did not regret getting rid of.
1983 Dodge Diplomat sedan.
I needed transportation fast and cheap. Lasted just long enough to get some money together to buy the ranger.

That's a concept completely lost on me too.
My '03 E250 EB was bought a bit too quickly--two years after it was new-to-me unnoticed rust and previous body repairs are showing their ugly selves now. Despite having already spent a lot upgrading brakes and some suspension there's a bit more to do before I'm happy with it handling-wise.
Given all I've done converting it from a straight cargo-only van to my pretty well appointed work van I don't look forward to getting rid of it anytime soon. Add in I just spent almost $1,000 on tires that's almost a forever keeper van now.
I also have an '00 E250 with fiberglass extended roof and rear doors that's also pretty much new suspension and brake-wise, along with new everything on the A/C system. Sad thing is its a better van but without the EB and that it has 275K miles PLUS still-decent Michelin LTX's I'm almost ashamed to even think about letting it go "cheap"---it deserves a bit end of life IMHO.
My short answer is: " til it's worth more as scrap than a drivable vehicle....."
