Sorry it didn't work out... Did you give Bruce at Bear Creek Motors a call? He's pretty much the only source for old medium duty stuff around here, other than the yard that's shutting down.

The truck isn't entirely lost, I managed to get quite few good parts off of it. I was one one that got the trans top cover/shifter and the intake/exhaust manifolds. I also pulled the gauge cluster and any little pieces that looked useful. I wanted to buy the whole motor and trans... but I was out of money and out of time...

Are you looking for just the bellhousing and clutch assembly? Or the whole sha-bang? Motor and tans?

Maybe you could get the Roadkill guys to deliver you that fuel truck, sounds like just the sort of thing they'd do.

Tried him twice.. vm only.. will continue to do so..

Can anyone answer this question ?

Do all 300 six blocks have tapped holes in the block to accommodate the medium duty front motor mount..... or are the medium duty blocks different completely?
Thank you

300 bellhousing

I believe I have the 300 bellhousing you are looking for. It has the two mounts cast into the housing. I pulled the engine tranny combo out of a 65 f 100 4x4 back in 08. The truck had the front engine mount and the bellhousing perches. I no longer have the front engine mounting hardware, but i still have the bellhousing, its currently in my 67 highboy which has the traditional engine tranny mounts. My engine is coming out soon, let me know if you are still interested. I would rather put a regular bellhousing back in it anyhow, and get this bellhousing to someone who could really use it.

That's odd, it still works fine for me too. I'll try it again:

300 Ford 6 cyl motor w/ trans

or maybe this: sacramento auto parts "ford 300 6 cyl" - craigslist

It should come up as a 300 and trans out of a c-series cab-over.

Got it sam.. wouldnt work in email but works here

I spoke with the owner.. price seems ok for the motor but the tranny is a side loader.. and Im not sure if i could convert it.. Im assuming its just a shift lever.. I cant see ford (I believe its a new process 435 like my other 6 cylinder trucks) making anything one off..

He says it was rebuilt which means nothing to me.. I pull every motor apart anyway.. if im going to make the effort to use it it needs to be right from the get go...

When I weather clears I might make the three hour trip and make him an offer... depending how it looks and if he broke stuff getting it out (he bent the fan)

thanks

Cam

That's an NP435 all right, you should be able to just pull off the top cover and replace it with a regular top shift one.

No problem, I've been reading up on those transmissions, I want to put one with the driveline brake into my f250.

Sam.. theres another way to go... an aftermarket brake that is as reliable.. unfortunately I had a computer crash and lost all my bookmarks a couple of days ago.. Ill start searching again for the company... as an option

I went from no 300s to being fat in them... and all of a sudden 4 f600s with three of them being sixes,,, but Ill continue to take parts trucks and sell what I dont need.. theres still one in bend thats a driver.. and now the motor above you turned me onto.. I think Ill buzz down there and get it.. especially if I can negotiate it down

Im still looking for a light duty bellhousing.. so i can have the parts for a f250 pre runner project down the road.. I ran across a sano roller with no motor.. its begging for a 300 and the conversion.. it had a 390 and what appears to be a 435... so I think I can just swap bells... I think the shaft is the same

Off topic here in the hd forum.. my apologies to the big truck guys...

If you can find the link that would be great.

All the LD np435's use the same input shaft so bellhousings interchange.
