yer it wasn't a 400 was just a 351m have a 400coming that's been magnafluxed, straightened and precision ground on each rod and main but after I get it it will still need to nitrated and rechecked , have organised a 4 bolt mains kit with a stud kit thro TMI , hope to see how my heads are going next week when I (hopefully) drop the block off to be cleaned and measured and machined as necessary and then to work out where I stand with pistons am now thinking may get the machinist to bush the conrod wrist pin to suit cleveland pistons after he has shot peened them
may do am talking with him bout this but also keeping my options open still and there is a larger variety after modding to cleveland wrist pin size for what im going to be looking for to achieve what I need to make this motor run with what im throwing at it
. For blower use, would think you would want Tim's 351C pistons with the bigger '400' size wrist pins... or hone out the pin hole in your other pistons of choice...
Agree. I'd want all the wrist pin size I could get. The C wasn't a torque engine, but that's what the 400 was designed for, hence stout things like the wrist pins.
